Living a Healthy Life by Consuming Omega 3

Health is one thing most important in life and that is very dependent on what you eat. You should really know what is on your food and your drink. Knowing your own body system–which is slightly different from one person to another–you will be able to control what you consume. Among the substances that you should really be careful of is fat, the thing that fast food restaurants offer you in abundant amount. But then, there are many different types of fat and not all are evil.

The word fat has been notorious for its reputation of bringing about serious diseases to your body. However, unlike most people think of the notorious reputation of fat, our body has been known to need it. Yet, it is not the kind of fat that you will find in red meat or other fatty food that is beneficial to your body health. Fat from red meats, processed food, and dairy products will not be good and in fact, they will become unhealthy if consumed excessively–the limit, of course, is relative. The kind of fat your body need is called the Omega 3, the fat that you can get mostly from fish, marine sources, seeds and walnuts.

Omega 3 is one of the substances your body doesn’t produce even though it needs it. You can get it only from your food. In your metabolism system, there are three kinds of Omega 3 fat that are essential: the ELA, ALA, and DHA. It will be good to promote injury healing process, preventing cancer, combating depression, preventing allergies, lowering your blood pressure and therefore preventing cardiovascular diseases. Omega 3 is even recommended for babies to help them develop and improve their brain function. This is really the good, friendly kind of a fat.
